Its classification, knowing about the one who is aware of it and how the awareness emerges. span style="scroll-behavior: auto !important; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">It is interesting to note that a learned thinker in India a few centuries before Common Era embarked on such an exploration of the universe by a thorough and insightful analysis of language, the words that human beings employ to describe their experience of the universe. The great sage Kanada captured the vastness of the universe, assembled them in an orderly fashion and went on to classify them into distinctive sets of elements. This is the Vaiseshika Darsana. The words that describe the real and existent universe primarily fell into two broad groups : words that described and referred to the presences 'Bhava' and those that referred to the absences 'Abhava' .

Primarily through direct perception, through analogical cognition by the comparisons of similarity. He offered masterful insights into inferential cognition . The study also expanded to transference of cognition using verbal testimony through the medium of sentences. This is the Nyaya Darsana .
br style="scroll-behavior: auto !important;">This workshop based on the Text of a seventeenth century Nyaya Vaiseshika Darsanika Jagadeesha Tarkalankara is an exposition of the classificatory decomposition of the Bhava (presences) and the Abhava (absences) as well as an elucidation of the methods of cognition.
br style="scroll-behavior: auto !important;">The text employs the Navya Nyaya construction of sentences wherever necessary to ensure that ambiguity is avoided .
br style="scroll-behavior: auto !important;">It will be a unique journey and anyone interested in how to meaningfully segregate , classify and grasp what the universe is , is welcome to join in.
